Tubes...

About 10 when things were winding down and Kauri's stomach was beeping - her formula ( or food) was that is. The nurse came in to give her some medicine and get things done for bed the nurse ran into a problem. They give her medicine through her feeding tube and it was or got plugged. They pulled in two floor nurses to work on it. It wouldn't flush. So they were going to have to put in a new feeding tube. The radiology was gone for the night, so they decided to wait until tomorrow to get a new tube. (and during the night they keep trying to flush it out). So in the mean time they would feed her thru IV. Well good idea, except her iv was leaking a bit, so she'd need a new iv put in.

Well one good thing we found out was Lacie, her sister- in-law was on the iv team tonight so she could do it. Lacie came and the guy started doing it so I told him that it wasn't personal bit she wanted Lacie. ( see if she did bad Kauri could get back at her).
How many people get a big hug ( or give a big hug) after they get an IV?
Grief and hard times are like a wilderness. You can't go around it, you can't go over it or under it. You just got to take one step at a time. Put one foot in front of the other, and you'll get through that wilderness. So here she goes. One step in front of the other... Even if it's baby steps!
