Dr's and Dr's and no Surgery!

We started out early today, trying to get to a Dr. to help with Kauri's hand.  All the appointments I could get with the Dr's the Hospital suggested were for a week or more away.  Mom was frustrated, because it was only dragging this on, and her hand was getting rubbed raw as well as her fore arm, because of the splint they had on her.  All the padding had fallen out, and it just wasn't good.  So were out at 8:30 am.  After Dr. he got her into an orthopedic Dr. right after.  It was great.  Thanks, Tyler and Dr. Vandemerwe.
After the x-ray the Dr. said surgery was an option, but he felt like it was okay to not.  He said either one would work, and he would do this with his 15 year old.   He said Kauri had good bones and looked strong, so no surgery!!!  Yeah!!!  They put a cast on it, and sent her on her way!
Then she stopped by Viewmont to see Volleyball Try-outs.  Kind of sad she couldn't be trying out, but grateful she gets to be with the team!
Finally, Kauri gets to wash her hands!  There was still dirt from the accident.

Best of all, it's WATERPROOF!  That means when the PICC line is gone... Kauri can swim!
Too bad, it's not a Lake Powell, like we had planned for the last 2 years, to go with our extended family. She was so excited about that.  We were supposed to go for a week, leaving this Sunday.  But I guess another time...we hope.

No one said she couldn't smell the good food Jarom gets to eat.  Kauri is so sweet about all the food around her.  It takes a lot, to keep smiling when you're hungry.  :)  She's fun about things.
