We didn't find out until 8:30 or so that they were going to release Kauri. We were a little scared either way. Last night she threw up again, and this morning her lipase levels were up higher than ever. We were worried if they were releasing her early for the funeral, if that would be dangerous to Kauri, yet hoped she could go. It was pretty hard to wait for their decision. They probably would have kept her another day or so, but decided to let her go. When Laura quizzed the Dr. and Nurses, they said they felt good about it, or wouldn't let her go. Kauri smiled pretty big when she found out she could go home!
All ready to leave...
Waiting... and waiting... and waiting to be discharged...
Finally....
Oh wait, still more waiting... Kauri thought this was taking way too long. But then look at Laura, she did too. It was 4th time learning about TBI (traumatic brain injury). They have given her that many pamphlets as well. It was a little after 11, with the funeral being at 12, we were getting worried. We guess they figured Laura had the fractures and the pancreatitus down, but needed to learn the tbi better. (maybe because she has some of the symptoms?)
Yeah Kauri! It was good to see you there! I thought you would probably have to go back to the hospital. What good news. I'm sure you will rest better in your own bed. Love you!

I can't wait to finally get to bring you some Swedish Fish. The Spirit of Healing is truly manifesting itself in you and Lars physically. I pray this same spirit will heal you all emotionally as well. Love to you.
