Kauri got to put something in her mouth and swallow! This is the first time since Sunday! It's a calcium pill. How exciting for her! She needs calcium. There isn't any calcium in her feeds so they hope she'll keep it in. No, this doesn't mean she can eat, drink or lick anything (not even her nephews face when he has food on it). And it'll be a week or two before she can.
She asked her mom to go get a burrito for her to eat. Her mom said " no I don't really want one." Kauri said she just wanted to smell it. The Dr said she could swish water, mouthwash or put flavored lip gloss on to smell. She's so sweet about it all.
