Back on

It looks like surgery is back on.  But it will be better.  The cast is for 8 weeks, and surgery is only a splint and may be better in 4-6 weeks.  We're checking on dates and times.

Kauri is still an amazing trooper.  She is so sweet about food.  She really appreciates her sense of smell.  She'll come in the kitchen once in a while, just to smell what food might be around.  She handles it so great.  There have been a couple times where she's been frustrated, just wanting to be done, but we're glad she's been that way.  If she just kept taking all this hard stuff, smiling, all the time, we'd be worried.  It does make for long days, her not eating.  We miss eating with her.

Today she her home health nurse came and changed the dressing, and took her blood.  We hope the levels went down a lot.  We're still waiting to find out.

 Look at what a brave girl Kauri is.  She is kind of at our mercy, and what a sport!  She even let Tanner get involved in getting her fed.
